I say that I will do alot of things. I do alot of saying but never alot of doing.
I have two major events coming up that I need to train for:
1. Augusta Half Ironman
2. The Army Ten Miler
2 ties in closely with 1. If I can do 1, I can do 2. However, I'm lazy. And loaded with bad habits. I've started smoking again. I hate smoking. The smell, the feeling in my chest. It's awful. So I'm going to put down the cigarettes. The three days of hell will be over with soon and I'll feel much better for it.
I need to do this. For myself, for my husband. But most of all for my children. I don't want to teach them bad habits this early in their lives. They need good examples from both me and my husband. Everything we do should be firmly grounded in the kiddos. How am I to raise healthy, athletic kids if I'm not healthy and athletic.
So to my children: I will quit smoking for you (and myself), I will include you guys as much as possible into my training. Mostly runs...I hate running with the stroller but I'll make it happen. I know you two hate the veggies but you will eat them. OR ELSE!
